Option 1 — Delete your account in the app (immediate)
- Open the Recalibrate app and sign in.
- Go to Profile (bottom navigation or menu).
- Scroll to Delete Account.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
Your account and all associated records are removed immediately and permanently. This cannot be undone.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in, or you want data deleted without deleting your account, email us from the address on your account:

We verify ownership and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually within 72 hours, and confirm by email.
Data that is deleted
- Account and profile details: name, email address, password hash, user ID and app settings
- Health info: pain, symptom, mood, sleep and medication tracking entries, assessments and reports
- Fitness info: activity, exercise, diet and habit records
- Messages: in-app messages, AI conversations, journal entries, notes and goals
- Photos and files: any photos, documents or files you uploaded, and PDFs generated for you
- Care team memberships, shared reports and clinician/carer connections
- App activity and device identifiers linked to your account
Data that is kept, and for how long
- Purchase and billing records — retained by our payment processors (Google Play, Stripe) for up to 7 years where required by tax and accounting law. We never store card numbers.
- Security and audit logs — retained for up to 12 months for fraud prevention and security monitoring, then deleted.
- Email suppression record — your email address may be kept on an unsubscribe list indefinitely so that we do not contact you again.
- Anonymised, aggregated data — may be retained indefinitely. It cannot be linked back to you.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in the Play Store under
Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Web subscriptions can be cancelled from your
billing portal before deletion.
